Yezdi has finally made its anticipated debut in the Indian market yesterday with the launch of three new bikes scrambler, adventure, and roadster. While the brand has mainly targeted middle-weight motorcycles and goes up against premium motorcycle manufacturer Royal Enfield. The revived Yezdi and Java back in 2018 will give a tough competition to the Royal Enfield in almost every segment.
Here, we bring you a detailed comparison between the Royal Enfield Himalayan and Yezdi adventures.
First start with the design
If you have seen the spy shots of the already known Yezdi adventure has taken some inspiration from the Royal Enfield Himalaya from his front look to the rare part. Both the bike features with round headlamp tall windscreen beaklike front Fender top box mount on the trail and split seat. Even the side panels look so similar to each other.
There is plenty of difference between the design between two like the round taillight sharper tail section and a block-shaped fuel tank. The engine covers get a fake cooling fin, and the crankcase resembles the Yezdi’s of yore. It is tough for the classic legends to beat Royal Enfield Himalaya as it is in the Indian market for years now and quite popular for its design and off-roading capabilities. Himalayan also features with round headlamp curvy fuel tank tall split seat and the top box mount on the tail all give it a rug field. Features and equipment’s
Yezdi adventure comes with telescopic front forks and a monoshock rear suspension system. It features with LCD instrument cluster with a center console showing speedometer smartphone connectivity turn by turn navigation distance to empty clock and so on. Also, the instrument console is tilted adjustable and can be tilted to up to 15 degrees which are well suited for both seated and standing on the footpegs riding position.
While the Royal Enfield Himalaya features a semi-digital instrument cluster that shows a tripper navigation display, Google powered turn by turn direction but it doesn’t get the connected features like in Yezdi adventure. Also, both the bikes have the same fuel tank capacity of 15.5 liters, but Yezdi adventure wins in a features and equipment list.
The Yezdi adventure comes powered with a 334 CC single-cylinder liquid-cooled DOHC petrol engine which is capable enough to develop 30.2 PS of maximum power and 29.9 Nm of peak torque. While the Royal Enfield Himalaya comes powered with a 411cc of single-cylinder air-cooled SOHC petrol engine which develops 24.31 pieces of maximum power and 32 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes coupled with a 5-speed sequential transmission gearbox and has a kerb weight of 199 kilograms.
On paper, Yezdi adventure beats Royal Enfield Himalaya in power and gearbox but we must wait and write them together to see the performance in real-life situations.

While the Royal Enfield Himalaya comes with a price tag of ₹2.14 lakh to ₹2.22 Lakh. While compared to the adventure Himalaya is quite expensive by around 4000 rupees. While looking at both the bikes thoroughly it seems that Yezdi adventure is a better option in comparison to Royal Enfield Himalaya in terms of price features equipment and power. However, only time will tell how classic legends would perform in front of the Royal Enfield legacy.
