Hyundai recently announced that the brand will be launching its 1st model of the N performance line-up in India in the next few months. However, this news was well expected as the car was seen multiple times roaming on the Indian roads. The Hyundai i20 N may be new for the Indian market but the car made its debut earlier this year in the international market followed by other models such as the Kona N line. But before its launch in India let’s see what are things known about the upcoming Hyundai i20 N line.
Design-wise the Hyundai i20 N line will be identical to the current i20 with minor changes like new front grille design, reprofiled front and rear bumpers, side skirts, new machine cut alloy wheels, dual-tip exhaust and overall dual-tone treatment.
There will also be some changes to the interior which will include a new 3 spoke steering wheel, front bucket seats to give a sportier look, all back interior along with premium leather upholstery treatment.
The Hyundai i20 N line will mostly be available in a single powertrain option which is the 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that can develop maximum power up to 120 PS and maximum torque up to 172 Nm, which is the same as the standard i20 setup including the 6-speed iMT or a 7-speed DCT option.
As for the features, the i20 N line will retain all the features of the top-end variant which includes features like a large 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and Blue Link connected car tech, fully digital instrument cluster, ambient lighting in the cabin, keyless entry, push-button start and stop ignition and much more.
