March has been a great month for Mahindra in terms of sale, the company even recorded some massive numbers of growth for most of its vehicles, however, the news hasn’t been that great in many other scenarios like the breakup of the partnership between Ford and Mahindra, discontinuation of 2 of its highest-paid cars and many more.

Mahindra recorded a massive YoY growth of over 600% for March 2021 with a sale of 40,403 units compared to the sale of 6,679 units in March 2020. These numbers however are highly influenced by the ongoing Pandemic, but such massive numbers were a great treat for the company after a year of pain. But high sale numbers also mean a high production load which had become a serious problem for many companies, one of the reasons for this problem was the lack of semiconductors. Starting with the much-known Mahindra Bolero which only comes in a single-engine option is carrying a waiting period of 4-6 weeks, next on this list is the Mahindra Scorpio which is recently shown a massive YoY growth of over 5000% is carrying a waiting period of up to 12 weeks. Mahindra XUV300 carries a waiting period of 6-8 weeks for the W4 trim, for the other trims this waiting period is even more, to be precise 12-14 weeks.

Next comes this recently discontinued Mahindra XUV500 which carries a waiting period of up to 6 weeks. The Mahindra Marazzo has a slightly longer waiting period of 6-8 weeks.

The new Thar is in a league of its own, cars with the longest waiting period Thar carries a waiting period of 44-47 weeks on selected variants, while for the convertible trim the waiting period isn’t quite that much longer, but still, it goes up to 25-26 weeks. Coming to the Mahindra Flagship the Alturas G4 which was also discontinued is carrying a waiting period of 4-6 weeks.
