As of now, Volvo plans to launch three new products in the Indian market to strengthen their line-up, starting off with XC40 recharge.

Volvo has revealed their plans for the next two years for the Indian market, in which the brand is going to launch four new products. Out of these four from the lot, three models will be taking place in the market this year itself, which are XC40 Electric, XC60 facelift, and S90 facelift. The Volvo XC40 rechargeable electric will be the first from the lot, that being said it was recently revealed for the Indian market as well by the Volvo Director of sales, with bookings commenced by June this year. Although, the deliveries are expected to starts from October 2021. The XC40 recharge powered with a 78 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, along with two motors one mounted on each axle. The maximum power output delivers by the car is 408 PS and 660 Nm of maximum torque. The car can go from 0-100 Kmph in just 4.9 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 180 Kmph.

The Other product from the brand this year is the XC60 facelift which was recently revealed by the company with some cosmetic changes and brand-new android powered touchscreen infotainment system, and few semi-autonomous safety features as well. Currently, XC60 offered with a sole 2.0 Litre 4-cylinder diesel engine, that develops 235 HP of maximum power output and 480 Nm of peak torque, and a fuel economy of 11.43Kmpl in the City. It is currently retail with a price tag of Rs 59.90 lakhs ex-showroom. However, as per reports, the brand wants to phase out the diesel powertrain from the domestic market, so the new 2021 XC60 could get a 2.0 Litre turbocharged petrol unit instead of Diesel.

The third and last car from the brand this year will be the S90 facelift, which is expected to come with few cosmetic improvements to the design and technology, with some updates on autonomous safety features as well. The ongoing model of S90 currently available in the Indian market offered in a sole diesel engine, and it could also get replaced by the Turbocharged petrol engine as well. Currently, S90 is one of the safest sedans offered in the Domestic market.
