Volkswagen recently released its trailer of the new Taigun Mid-size SUV which was showcased as a concept earlier this year in the 2020 Auto Expo. The car was at that time only a concept version and no one knew when it would get released. And by surprise the Taigun was already production ready model. The car will be launched next year in the mid of 2021.

The Volkswagen Taigun shares the same Platform as the Skoda Vision which is based on MQB A0 IN platform. Unlike many other foreign brands which left the Indian market because of poor sales, both of these companies haven’t lost hope in the Indian market. Even though up until now both the carmakers haven’t been able to impress the Indian audience with any of their products.

The trailer simple shows the meaning of the word Taigun and from there on starts to explain the meaning of the word Taigun. They tell us that the words mean the energy of the Taiga forest, a shot of coffee to the heart, goosebumps on your arms, and a lot more. Then we get to see some glimpse of the car and from what we can determine from it is the rear end features a long full width LED taillight, Full chrome grille with lateral strokes with sporty looking headlamps, chrome lining on the windows, black B pillar and body coloured door handles. From the side view of the car, we can distinguish two-character lines line along the bottom and along the handle, roof rails, roof mounted rear spoiler.

The car is expected to be launched at an attractive price to be competing in the segment where the Hyundai Creta and the Kia Seltos dominates the market. The car is a five-seater that barely reaches a mark above four meters. The interior of the car is not yet revealed but will be expected to carry all the necessary feature that all included in its competitors.
