Volkswagen T-Roc was launched last year and since then has sold 1000 units which came as a CBU (Completely Built Unit) within a few days and since then the second batch hasn’t arrived at the dealership. But according to the reports the German Automobile company will very soon be supplying the 2nd batch of the Volkswagen T-Roc 2021, however, with this new batch, a new price hike will also be introduced, the current price of the car which as for now is Rs 19.99 lakh but after the hike, the car will be sold at Rs 21.35 lakh which is a straight jump of Rs 1.36 lakh that will be hurting the pockets of most of us, but to justify this action the company is also providing some additional features to the current list, however, the added features are still unknown.
Taking about the current list of features, the car carries an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic headlamps, dual-zone climate control, automatic rain-sensing wipers, 6 speaker audio system, and a huge panoramic sunroof. Now for safety features, the car consists of six airbags, ABS with EBD, front and rear parking sensor, and ESC (Electronic Stability Control).
The Volkswagen T-Roc 2021 comes with a single powertrain option which is a 1.5 litre 4 cylinder TSI turbocharged petrol engine providing a max power output of 148hp and max torque of 250Nm, that comes mated with a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission gearbox. The car will be reaching the dealership at the end of March or early April, however, the total number of cars to be available in this batch is still unknown. As going by the rules, a maximum of 25,000 CBU can be imported by any company in a year. And as far as booking is concerned Volkswagen has started taking pre-bookings at many dealerships at a token amount of Rs 50,000.
