Skoda and Volkswagen might seem different on the surface and share some platforms and ideas, but originally Skoda is a part of the Volkswagen group since 1991, and Volkswagen is the largest car manufacturing group in the world and currently hold the majority of shares in Audi, Porsche and Scania, and also completely owns many car companies apart from Skoda, like Lamborghini and Ducati. - Skoda Octavia
Starting the list with the most recent upcoming launch, we have the Skoda Octavia, which originally was meant to launch last month but due to the ongoing health crisis was pushed back ahead to next month. And talking about the car, this Skoda Octavia marks the 4th generation of the car which was launched back in November 2019 in Prague, Czech Republic.
- Skoda Kodiaq BS6
Skoda Kodiaq was discontinued last year due to the application of new pollution norms as the car was running on a BS4 version. However, Skoda has recently launched its new Kodiaq in the international market, which will be making its way to the Indian markets soon in the third quarter of this year. This time the Kodiaq will be available with a BS6 applicable version, that will be powered by a 2.0-litre TSI turbo petrol engine.
- Skoda Kushaq
Skoda Kushaq is one of the India specific cars which are solely designed keeping in mind the Indian audience and comes in the India 2.0 plan designed by Skoda Volkswagen. The Kushaq is built on the heavily localized MQB A0 IN platform. And will be competing against some of the best sellers of the segment like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Tata Harrier and many more.
- Volkswagen Taigun
The new Volkswagen Taigun is also one of the India 2.0 project based on the heavily localized MQB A0 IN platform and the Taigun in India will be one of its kind as this will be an India specific model.
- Volkswagen Tiguan Facelift
The car was announced earlier this year, and images have been revealed for the same. The launch of the Tiguan will soon be taking place in the next few weeks if the health condition of the nation permits it. As for the specifications of the car, the facelift will be offered with a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine, which can generate power up to 190 PS and 320 Nm of torque.
