TVS has finally launched its iQube electric scooter in New Delhi. It was first launched in selected cities a year ago with a price tag of Rs 1.15 lakhs.

TVS Motor Company launched its first electric Scooter iQube back over a year ago in Bengaluru. However the scooter was launched in limited cities over the months, and now finally TVS has launched it in New Delhi as well with a price tag of Rs 1.08 lakhs (Ex-showroom, New Delhi). Although, back in august 2020 Delhi government also launched its EV policy for commercial and private vehicles to increase the adoption of electric vehicles in the nation’s capital. In February 2020, Arvind Kejriwal starts the “Switch Delhi” campaign which encourages vehicle buyers to go for electric vehicles. For that many new DC charging stations has been build over the capital.
Under the CM campaign, they will be providing cash incentives to those buyers who opt for electric vehicles over gasoline vehicles to promote EV sales. Hence, TVS feels that it is the right time to launch its first electric Scooter iQube in New Delhi to boost its sales. Although, iQube costs Rs 7,000 lesser in New Delhi compared with Bengaluru’s price of Rs 1.15 lakhs ex-showroom. The Scooter offers features like LED headlamps, LED taillights, park assist, Multi driving modes (Sports, economy), USB charging port, 10L Under-seat storage, Day and night display, and regenerative braking technology.
iQube powered with a 4.4 kW electric motor that provides the total claimed range of 75 Km on a single full charge. iQube sprints 0 to 40 kmph in just 4.2 seconds and has a top speed of 75 kmph. As of now, the iQube reached selected dealerships in the capital city, one can book their electric scooter with a minimal amount of Rs 5,000 INR. Currently, it costs Rs 1,08,012 INR on-road after FAME and Delhi state subsidy.
