Toyota Kirloskar Motor India to update Fortuner Legender with new features list and much-awaited 4×4 configuration to it.

- Updated model will get a major hike by Rs 80,000
- No mechanical change has been made and continued to have 2.8 Litre oil burner
Toyota India currently has only two popular models Innova Crysta and Fortuner, while the other models are taken from the OEM route from Maruti Suzuki India. The Fortuner and Innova Crysta gets a Mid-life update last year in December 2020 and now brand recently again wants to update its models due to high demand from its customer base. Last year Toyota has launched the Top-end trim Fortuner Legender in India with updated features and few exterior enhancements. Art from that the diesel engine specifications have also been boasted as well.
The Japanese manufacturer Toyota has now reported updating its Fortuner line up, mainly for Legender to get much-awaited 4×4 configuration on customers to demand and sits on top of the line with expanding its variants list. As Ford India existing the domestic market the buyers who are looking for endeavour will draw their attention towards the Fortuner as not much has left in the Full-Size SUV segment. The Fortuner will now direct rival with Mahindra Alturas G4 and MG Gloster. That being said Toyota Fortuner will take more advantage of these SUVs and attract more buyers towards them. The updated features will get Dual Zone auto climate control for all variants and the alloy spare wheel will be replaced with a Steel wheel.
While over years Toyota Fortuner has been the segment leader since 2009 and the second generation have been launched in 2016. While to carry ON its predecessor brand will have made again a mid-life update in its popular model. With the update, Toyota Fortuner will be seen a price hike of Rs 80,000 across its range which will be applied from the first week of October 2021. While the Legender will get a 4×4 configuration and is expected to have a price tag of Rs 41.25 lakh ex-showroom. There will be no exterior updates on it other than a 4×4 badging. As for performance, it continues to have a 2.8 Litre turbocharged diesel engine developing 204 PS of power and 500 Nm of torque. the transmission coupled with 6-speed AT as standard.
