Toyota most recently launched in the Indian market is a new variant of the Fortuner which is GR sport. It is the new top-end variant and is priced at 48.43 lakh Ex-showroom. The on-road price of Fortuner GR sport now crosses 60,00,000 marks in Bangalore and to be precise 61.05 lakh on road in Bangalore.
We can also see a screenshot that 2 major factors that increase the price of the SUV significantly are registration and insolence. The registration cost ₹9.93 lakh which is a lot you can buy another small car for this amount and then the insurance which is 2.18 lakh. Other factors are tax collected at source at 48,430 hypothecations charges 1500, and so add fasting charges 500 and there is also road safety tax which is ₹1000.
Toyota made some cosmetic changes to the GR sports variant. Toyota offers the GR sports variant in black and white color only and on the exterior, there is a different bumper which is specific to GR sport the radiator grille is now finished with a dual-tone finish and the faux skid plate is also black. The outside rear-view mirror in alloy wheels is now finished in black and if you get the pearl white color then the side molding is also finished in pearl white.
Now the brake calipers are in red so they add a hint of sportiness to the SUV. While talking about the rare section there is a spoiler a faux skid plate that has a diffuser-type skid plate. Moreover, you get GR Sport badging on the front as well as at the rear section. There are some changes to the interior as well it now comes with a slightly different steering wheel with GR badging and it has a leather wrap also. The seats are also GR specific as they have GR embroidery on the headrest.
The surround around the gear level is now finished in a carbon fiber finish on aluminum pedals for a sportier look. Now the Fortuner GR sport comes with 11 speakers from JBL dual-zone climate control led headlamps led daytime running lights heat rejection glass dusk infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto multi-information display with GR graphics connected car technology power tailgate keyless entry push button Start Stop and a lot more.
Mechanically the Fortuner GR sport stays the same as the regular Fortuner and it gets 2.8 liter which develops 204 PS of maximum power and 500 Nm of peak torque when coupled with 6 feet torque converter automatic gearbox. On the GR sports variant, it drives all 4 wheels using a 4×4 system.
