Daihatsu, the Toyota subsidiary in Indonesia has been selling the Ayla (older version of Ayga) since 2012 and is also the maker of the new Ayga. Recently Toyota has filed the patent for the design which will be a compact hatchback type and name for the car. There also has been some images leaked of how the car will be looking upon its reveal in the near future, the car showcases some interesting features like a hexagonal blacked-out front grille, wide air vents at the lower bumper, newly designed alloy wheels, sleek and sharp headlights and a unique triangular fog lamp housing, while for the rear the Ayga will be getting a roof mounted spoiler, upright tail gate, a rather sporty bumper and uniquely designed tail lights.  

The new Toyota Ayga will be available in three powertrain options as the Indonesian version which are – 1.0G, 1.2G and 1.2G TRD. Getting it in details, the 1.0G version will be available with a 1.0-litre three-pot VVT-I engine which will be capable of generating up to a maximum power of 67 PS and a maximum torque output of 89 Nm.

The 1.2G version comprises of a 1.2-litre 4-pot dual VVT-i engine which can generate up to 88 PS @ 6000 rpm of max power with 108 @ 4200 rpm Nm of max torque, while for the 1.2G TDR the engine still remains the same as of the 1.2G but the car with get additional features such as red accent around the car, TRD badging at the front and many other styling features.

And some features like the digital touchscreen infotainment system, semi digital instrument cluster, ignition on/off button, ISOFIX child mount seat, ABS with EBD, dual air bags and many similar features.
