Toyota Corolla Cross is an Asia specific car that is sold in many countries like Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines. The car made its global debut in the Thailand market after which many speculations were being made about the car making its way to the United States markets however, no concrete announcement has been made by the company about this topic. The Japanese carmaker even told the media that this decision was meant to taken last year but till now no final verdict has been given on the topic.

However, some spy shots have emerged, and looking to it seems that the carmakers have taken their final decision and the Corolla Cross is being tested on the American lands. If comparing the model sold in Asia to the model which will be going on sale in the US will most likely be identical with only minor changes to it. The Corolla Cross will still be based on the Toyota New Global Architecture or TNGA, and as for the specifications, which most likely also remain the same are the options of a regular 1.8-litre four-pot petrol engine which will be capable of generating up to a maximum power of 140 hp and optimum torque of 175 Nm, coupled with a CVT gearbox. A plug-in hybrid option will also be available for the car, which by specification is a 1.8-litre 4-pot petrol engine that will be working along with a battery-powered motor that together can generate a maximum power of 170 hp and a peak torque of 305 Nm.

The dimensions of the car are, 4,460 mm in length, 1,825 mm in width, 1,620 mm in height with a long wheelbase length of 2,640 mm. and as for the features the car will be carrying all the standard feature present in its Asia version.
