Maruti Suzuki yet again dominated the hatchback segment sales of November 2020. With 6 Maruti Suzuki cars in Top 10.

Maruti Suzuki again at the top of the best-selling car, as well as the best-selling hatchback of the month November 2020. Maruti manages to sell 18,498 units of Swift last month. Followed by a Maruti Suzuki Baleno with 17,872 units sold last month. Even with the rising popularity of compact SUVs in the market, hatchback continues to be the most loved genre in the Indian market. The only reason seems that, of the extremely affordable, easy to ride, and good fuel economy. The Third Sport took by the Wagon-R with 16,256 units.

The 4th place held by another Maruti Suzuki alto, with 15,321 units. Maruti’s success in our market is because of its low-range price vehicle, more fuel economy, and less maintenance cost. The Hyundai grand i10 Nios hold the 5th position, with a total of 10,936 units sold last month. An interesting fact in the list is that, the top 5 spots held by these same cars in October 2020 month, also in the same order. At the Sixth place, we have got the newly launched Hyundai premium hatchback I20. Despite the high price range, Hyundai I20 got an enormously positive response. I20 total of 9,096 units was sold in last month.
Following the list at the 7th place, we have S-Presso, as Maruti calls it as Micro-SUV. S-presso achieved a sales figure of 7,018 units. The 8th position is held by yet another Maruti Suzuki vehicle, Celerio with a total dispatch of 6,533 units in November 2020. Till now, in top 8th position, six cars are from Indo-Japanese manufacturer and truly dominated the hatchbacks yet again. At the 9th position we have Tata Altroz and at the 10th Altroz sibling Tata Tiago. A total of 6,260 units of Altroz and 5,890 units of Tiago were dispatched by the manufacturer last month.
