Hero has tied up a knot with Taiwan’s Gogoro for the development of electric two-wheelers and charging station infrastructure for India. Gogoro has already applied for the trademark name of VIVA for the Indian market, which is likely to debut next year. Gogoro VIVA is light weight east-to-ride scooter, which belts out 4.1 PS of maximum power and has a claimed range of 85 Km in a single full charge. VIVA will likely be the first product from the Hero Gogoro partnership in India.

  • Ola electric Scooter

Ola has already started their electric mobility development and infrastructure for their first electric scooter, which will be launching in July this year. The Mega factory in Tamil Nadu work is in full swing. Although the launch is two months away, the company hasn’t revealed the specifications and name of its first electric scooter. With that Ola recently announced their plans for a Hypercharging network across India, over 1 lakh charging stations will be built in 400 cities in India.

Suzuki electric Burgman scooter has been spied on Indian roads many times, and numerous images have been floating on the internet. As per spied images, only the engine is being replaced with an electric motor, and other features are remaining the same as regular Burgman, full LCD instrument cluster, Bluetooth connectivity, and so on.

In 2019, Tokyo Auto show Yamaha has revealed their first electric scooter named E01. Recently, the company has patented its design in India so we can expect that the brand could launch its first EV in the Indian market soon.

  • Simple Energy Mark2

Bengaluru-based firm Simple energy announced the launch of their first electric scooter on 15th August 2021 codenamed Mark2. The specifications and features haven’t been revealed yet, but as per reports, it could be a long-range EV. Simple Energy Mark2 likely to be cost from Rs 1.10 lakh to Rs 1.20 lakh ex-showroom as per firm reports. Mark2 comes equipped with a 4.8 kWh lithium-ion battery, which is capable enough to develop 240 Km of claimed riding range.
