The Trend of SUVs led the companies to plan on launching more affordable SUVs for the Indian market. That, being said the budget of 10 lakhs is not that being if someone is planning to buy an SUV in the next few years. As of now, there are plenty of options to make a choice from as well as more future SUVs going to join the list in the coming months. Here are the Top 5 Future SUV’s launching later this year under Rs 10 lakh: –
- Tata HBX (Hornbill)
Starting off the list with Homegrown Micro-SUV Tata HBX, which was showcased at last year’s Auto Expo event in its concept form. Although, the production-ready version could be called Hornbill as per recent reports. Upon arrival, Hornbill will the most affordable SUV from the Tata lineup, which sits below Nexon. The Entry-level UV expected to get features like, Floating infotainment system that supports Android auto and apple car play, LED DRLs, LED headlamps, LED taillights, Semi digital instrument Cluster, Harman surround sound system, and much more. Hornbill expected to use a 1.2 Litre three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, which develops 86 PS of power and 113 Nm of torque, along with both manual and automatic gearbox offerings.
Hyundai is also planning on launching their Micro SUV soon in the Indian market, which directly rivals tata HBX/Hornbill. Internally it is codenamed AX1, and it was seen many a time on-road testing in South Korea with heavy camouflage. AX1 is expected to be based on the same K1 platform and share the underpinnings with Santro. It could use the same 1.0 Litre 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, along with 5-speed manual transmission and an optional AMT gearbox system, which same can be seen in Hyundai Venue. - Citroen CC21
Citroen is already been working on many products from Sedan to the SUV segment, one of which is a Sub-4m SUV. The internally codenamed CC21 will be developed in India itself so that it could get aggressive pricing. The launch is expected to be near the festive season, it was last seen in Sweden testing in extreme condition with heavy camouflage. The CC21 expected to offer both naturally aspirated engine and turbocharged petrol units, with 5-speed manual gearbox as standard and an optional automatic manual transmission box with a turbocharged engine.
- Maruti Suzuki YTB
The Indo-Japanese carmaker is working to launching a new Compact Crossover SUV in the Indian market codenamed YTB. Although the brand already has a compact SUV Vitara Brezza, it would not replace it as it is placed under Brezza. - Maruti Suzuki New gen Vitara Brezza
The Maruti Suzuki is planning to launch the new generation of their most Sold compact SUV Vitara Brezza next year in the Indian market. As of now, the ongoing generation of Brezza retail priced from Rs 7.39 – Rs 11.40 lakh (ex-showroom).
