Every brand has released their sales figures for April 2021, and here we put together the Top 10 compact SUVs sold in April 2021 in terms of units.

  • Hyundai venue outsold Vitara Brezza for the first time
  • Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza sells 11,220 units just below 25 units compared with Venue
  • Recently launched Renault Kiger sells 2,800 units last month

The Compact SUV has been dominating the Indian market since most numbers of new models have been launching month after month. The segment been dominating the international markets as well, courtesy of its affordability and customers looking for more practicality in their cars with a big boot space as well. In April 2021, the Hyundai venue finished at the top of the sales chart in the Compact SUVs segment, with 11,245 units were sold beating the segment king Maruti Vitara Brezza for the first time, with just 25 units.

The Second position has been held by Maruti Vitara Brezza as it garnered 11,220 units last month, as both the SUVs making a huge gap from the other compact SUVs in the market. Last year, so many SUVs had been launched – Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger, and Toyota Urban Cruiser. While the Korean brand Sonet is the most successful from the lot as it finished at third position with 7,724 units last month. Just below Sonet, the consistent Tata Nexon has garnered 6,938 units last month and finished at the fourth position.

The Mahindra XUV300 finished at fifth position with 4,144 units sold last month, and the sixth position gained by Ford EcoSport with 3,820 units. While the recently launched Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger kaput at seventh and eighth position with 2,904 and 2,800 units sold last month and both the SUVs share the same underpinnings. The urban cruiser ended at the ninth position with 2,155 units and Honda WR-V manages to sell only 1,194 units and complete at the tenth position.
