Last month in April 2021 two-wheeler space has garnered a total domestic tally of 9,95,097 units against 14,96,754 units in March 2021, with getting MOM decline of 33.5 percent. Almost every manufacturer in the auto industry saw a sales decline last month, due to the second wave of ongoing virus, which yet again halts the production and movement of products towards dealerships. However, last month yet again Hero MotoCorp led the way for another two-wheeler manufacturer TVS, Honda, Bajaj, and so on.
In the top 10 bikes sold in April 2021 Hero Splendor yet again comes at the top with 1,93,508 units as against 2,80,090 units in March 2021, with getting sales decline of 31 percent on a MOM basis. Honda CB Shine finished at second position with 79,416 units sold up against 1,17,943 units, with a MOM sales decline of 32.6 percent. Another hero bike HF Deluxe finished at third position with getting a total domestic tally of 71,294 units, with getting sales de-growth of 50.6 percent on a MOM basis. Fourth and fifth position is held by Bajaj Pulsar and Bajaj Platine, with the former saw a decline of 12.3 percent and the latter saw a decline of 48.6 percent in MOM basis.
TVS apache series finished at sixth position with a total cumulative sale of 29,458 units against 33,162 units In Mach 2021, with getting 11.1 percent de-growth on a MOM basis. Although, Hero glamour entry-level commuter finished at seventh position with 23,627 units against 32,371 units in March 2021, with getting MOM decline of 27 percent. Last eighth, ninth and tenth positions held by Royal Enfield classic 350, hero passion, and Honda Unicorn, with 23,298 units, 17,748 units, and 16,602 units.
