Tata Safari, the name is enough to bring back memories in many people’s hearts as the safari isn’t just a car but an emotion for many enthusiasts, which is the reason the new safari nametag is been selling in such good volumes. Although the car isn’t any more a ladder frame SUV but is amongst the top modification worthy cars in the market. And a designer which goes by the Instagram handle @nafi.designs has designed the currently available Tata Safari into a spotty convertible car which is a rear thing to even imagine unlike the last week digitally imagined Tata Safari GTS which was solely based on the performance aspect.

Talking about the design of the Safari convertible, the front facia looks inspired by the dark edition as the front facia comprises of a blacked-out grille and back alloy wheels, other than that the front has no change and you can’t even guess the change. However, when you switch to the side view is where the change appears, with the missing roof and B-pillar as for the convertible roof which is most likely soft top as it fits in the boot. The rear also gets the same dark edition treatment as the front which can be guessed by the smokey outline to the taillamp, black-out bumpers, black Safari lettering above the bumper and dark tata logo at the centre tailgate.

As for the interior, the car also gets the same dark edition treatment which can be seen by the black seats and other highlights, the car also is a 6-seater variant as the middle row comprises of 2 captain seats rather than the standard bench seats. Other than that, everything remains the same both look wise and mechanical wise as the car still rocks the only available 2.0-litre Kryotec turbo diesel engine which can generate up to max power of 170 PS along with max torque of 350 Nm. and is offered both in the 6-speed manual as well as 6-speed automatic transmissions.
