Tata Motors has announced that their most popular and best-selling Nexon EV has achieved 10,000 units in just 20 months of its debut in January 2020. The Electric SUV was the best selling EV in the Indian market last year, while for this year itself it continues to be the leader of the segment with more than 70 percent of market share in YTD FY2022. While just last month tata has rolled out 1,000 units of Nexon EV according to the brand. Speaking on the achievement,” the achievement of 10,000 EVs road is a strong start for the testament to how our innovative electric vehicles are resonating well with customers. Tata Motors along with the help of tata powers, tata companies, tata chemicals, tata motors finance, and Croma through an experience expansive of e-mobility called tata Universe is driving the transmission in the Indian market. While for more and more adaptation of EV in India tata has built more and more charging infrastructure as well as more than 700 plus installations across 120 cities in India. A few weeks ago, Tata has expanded its Ziptron battery EV technology in its more products like Tigor. Tigor EV has relaunched in India with Ziptron technology which features a higher claimed range than its predecessor.
The Ziptron technology was first made its debut with Nexon EV back in January 2020 and it will rise more eco-friendly vehicles in the coming future in its all-other products like Harrier, PUNCH, Altroz, and more others. The New updated Tigor EV comes with an ARAI-certified driving range of 303 km in a single charge. It has been awarded a four-star crash safety rating for child and adult occupants. While for fleet customers Xpress-T EV was introduced a few months ago. Apart from that Nexon EV is offered in an XM, XZ plus, XZ plus LUX, XZ plus dark edition, and XZ plus LUX dark edition. The Nexon EV is priced from Rs 13.99 lakh for base XM and goes up to Rs 16.85 lakh ex-showroom.
