The Nexon is a greatly praised car for its design, and with the car getting a mild facelift last year that adds up to the looks, however, this facelift was for the internal Combustion engine variant, but the EV model is based on the facelift version so the Nexon EV enjoys the same design treatment.

- Inaccurate Real-World range
The Tata Nexon EV is offered with a 30.2 kWh lithium-ion battery paired with a 3-phase synchronous motor that provides ARAI certified range of 312 km, however, nothing is that simple, most of the user claims the real-world ranges from 190-250 which can be considered normal, but some have even complained that their range hasn’t even been till 180 km, even with following all commands given by the dealership.
- Bad Charging Speed
The Nexon EV can be charged in only 60 from 0-80% but, only via a DC charger. The normal portable 3.3 kWh AC charger will take a tedious 8.5 hr to charge your car from 10-90%.
- Free Spin
Free Spin or Wheel Spin of the Tata Nexon EV is quite high as the time between the accelerator pedal press and the power output to the wheel is very-very small and this sometimes can through the driver out of balance or make the tires screech making everyone around you alarmed.
- Lack of safety features
Even though the car has a 5-star rating on Global NCAP, but lack certain features like ESP and traction control, both of them however are present in the ICE version.
- Degraded Top Speed
Even though the car is powered at 129 PS and can sprint from 0-100 in below 10 seconds the Top speed of the car is kept quite low, which maxes out at 120 kmph. This top speed might now be a problem in major cities but this might struggle on broad Highways.
