Since Tata motors start building new design models, their sales volume starts to increase in the Indian market, especially after the launch of tata Nexon and tata Altroz last year. The homegrown brand Tata registered a strong sales growth for their premium hatchback Altroz, which was launched last year. Since the launch, the popularity of Altroz has on its peak. Recently on the customer’s demand, Tata launched the iTurbo variant of Altroz which will also boast and expand the model line-up. Tata manages to sell 7,378 units last month against 4,505 units in the same period in Jan 2020, with massive sales growth of 63 percent in volume compared to a year-on-year basis.

Also, tata Altroz achieved its highest monthly sales ever last month. That is quite impressive and now with the launch of the iTurbo variant sales expected to see even stronger growth in the coming future. Interestingly, as vehicle safety awareness has been increased in India, the demand for Tata cars has been rapidly increased. As many products of Tata performed extremely well in the Global NCAP crash test. Currently, Tata Altroz is offered in three engine options. The first one is a 1.2-liter petrol unit which produces 86 PS of power and 113 Nm of torque. The second one is a 1.5-liter Turbocharged Diesel engine, which belts out 90 PS of power and 200 Nm of torque. The third one was recently launched on customers’ demand, a 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol engine, which rated at 110 PS of power and 140 Nm of torque. The transmission duties are performed by a standard 5-speed manual gearbox system. Tata currently retails Altroz with a starting price of Rs 5.69 lakhs for the base variant, and Rs 9.45 lakhs for Top variant. (All prices are ex-showroom, New Delhi). Altroz rivals the likes of, Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Hyundai I20, Volkswagen polo, and Honda Jazz in the Indian market.
