Skoda Motors has unveiled their concept compact SUV in this year’s Auto Expo called VISION IN. earlier it was expected to launch in Mid-2020, but it is now postponed to early next year. Currently, its concept name is VISION IN, although its official production name will be announced next month, the production model will be unveiled in march 2021. The vehicle has been spied on-road testing in India several times, which revealed some exterior features. Just like the concept car the spied version of the car also features the same exterior highlights.

The Spied car features, 17-inch alloy wheels, LED DRLs, roof rails, and a sportier bumper. Also, it is known that Skoda’s signature butterfly grille seen at the front, and instead of the logo, Skoda littering on the tailgate. The VISION IN concept SUV will be based on a heavily localized MQB A0 IN platform, offered by the Volkswagen group. It will be produced at Skoda-Volkswagen Pune and Aurangabad plants. The Compact SUV is expected to powered by a 1.0 liter 3-cylinder TSI Turbo petrol engine, which produces 110 PS of maximum power and 175 Nm of peak torque.  Although this same motor engine is being offered with Skoda Rapid.

Also offered with a 1.5 liter 4-cylinder TSI unit which generates 150 PS  maximum power and 250 Nm of peak torque. The gearbox option includes a 6-speed manual and an optional 7-speed DSG(direct shift gearbox) automatic transmission. The production-ready compact SUV will be launched under karoq in Skoda’s Indian cars line-up. Skoda’s concept compact-SUV will rival the likes of, Hyundai Creta, Nissan Kicks, Kia Seltos, tata harrier, and MG Hector facelift when launched next year.
