Skoda Slavia price increase in India by ₹30,000 for the lower variants and goes all the way up to 60,000 for the higher variants depending on the variant selected.
Skoda launched the compact sedan Slavia in India in February this year as a replacement for the discontinued rapidly. The new sedan is quite popular among buyers matching or even surpassing the sales of the Skoda Kushaq as well. Now the introductory price of the Slavia has come to an end sending the manufacturers to increase the prices of Sedan.
The one-liter version of Skoda Slavia has been increased in price by up to 40,000 while the 1.5-liter version of the sedan is now more expensive by up to 60,000. Also, the manufacturer is planning to replace the 10-inch infotainment screen in Slavia with a smaller 8-inch aftermarket Panasonic screen due to a shortage of semiconductor chips.
Apart from that, the downsized infotainment touch screen Skoda slave will also lose wireless Android Auto Apple CarPlay but the game physical infotainment controls Skoda Kushaq will also see similar changes in the announcement of the changes has attracted a lot of criticism online as well. There are 2 engine options available in the sedan Slavia first is a one-liter turbocharged inline 3-cylinder which develops 115 PS of power and 178 Nm of peak torque. The second engine is a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine which generates 150 PS of power and 250 nm of torque.
The transmission options available with the engines are 6-speed manual transmission as standard for both powertrains but for the automatic transmission option the smaller engine gets a 6-speed torque converter while the bigger engine gets 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. Following the price of Skoda Slavia is now priced from 10,99,000 for the base variant and goes all the way up to 18,39,000 ex-showroom New Delhi. It continues to rival with Honda City Hyundai Verna Maruti Ciaz and the upcoming Volkswagen Virtus in India.
