The first ever Skoda Rapid in Indian market was launched in 2011. It is based on Volkswagen Vento. The few differences it had, the facelift version of Rapid gets even more similar to Vento. It is a steady, classic, premium sold sedan of the Czech automaker. After the BS6 compulsion, Skoda has discontinued the Diesel Variant and currently retailing only 1.0L turbocharged Petrol Engine. Skoda Rapid is currently available in only 11-variants with 6-trims, 1-Engine options and 2-Transmission options. Ex-showroom price of Skoda Rapid ranges from Rs. 7.49 – 13.29 lakhs.
