Prices for the Royal Enfield interceptor 650 Interceptor and Continental GT 650 has been hiked and applied from 1st January 2021.

- Pirelli tyres have been dropped from Royal Enfield entire line up
Royal Enfield has recently announced a price hike for their entire indie line-Up. Although, 650 twins have been most affected by the hike. Now the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 price will start from Rs 2.70 lakhs and Continental GT prices will start from Rs 2.86 lakhs (All the prices are Ex-showroom, New Delhi). Also, the unique component that has been dropped from the line-up is the use of Pirelli tires. Instead of the Pirelli tires, Ceat tires will be used for the interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650. The price increment is coming as a shocker for everyone, as instead of decrease the prices are increased for their 650cc lineup.
It should be noted that by new policy and taxes on the Import Duty has been increased and the government has restricted imports from the foreign markets. In a way to increase domestic sales, hence the brand has decided to go the Ceat home-Grown Tyres instead of Pirelli tires. Royal Enfield is currently the only manufacturer that switches to Indian made tires. The New tires on interceptor 650 and continental GT 650 will be Ceat Cruze tires, which will be offered in the same sizes as Pirelli used to offer that is 100/90-18 Front-wheel and 130/70-18 Rear Wheel.
The New Ceat tyres costs less as compared with the Pirelli tyres, but the brand hasn’t decided to reduce the costs for their 650-cc line. Below is the new price list of the interceptor 650 and continental GT 650:-
