Renault has recently unveiled its new budget sedan the Renault Taliant in Turkey, while the car may be new for Renault but is actually a rebadged version of the third generation Dacia Logan which will be going on sale by the mid of 2021. Dacia does lack its international presence unlike its parent company Renault; however, Dacia has been very aggressive with the pricing of the Logan in various parts globally and this pattern has slowly led the sales of the company to rise. Although, the 3rd generation Logan is being rebadged and reintroduced by the parent company, but won’t carry any major changes in shape and designing.

For the designing of the car, it gets broad headlamps with embedded LED daytime running lights in the setup, a new 6 edged 3D grille, a wide lower bumper grille, body coloured door handles, cladding above the wheel arch, a new redesigned C – Shape taillamp, Taliant badging at the centre below the Renault Symbol and new dual-tone alloy wheels.

Although, the company hasn’t revealed any details about its interior but it will be safe to assume that you won’t be seeing any major updates in the interior and will likely resemble the Dacia Logan. However, speaking about the interior the car will retain its 8.0 inch floating touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, a semi-digital instrument cluster with a small MID screen between the RPM and speed meter and various other standard features.

Now for the powertrain aspect the Renault Taliant we retain Logan’s Bi-fuel engine which will be providing a higher fuel economy and will act as a replacement for the 1.5 litre dCi four-cylinder engine. Other than that, the car will also be sold in 2 other engine option – the first being the naturally aspirated petrol engine and the other being the 3-cylinder turbocharged engine. All the engines will be made available either with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission gearbox.
