Renault Kiger is all set to launch and since the global launch of the car many spied images showing the car’s arrival at the dealership for training purposes and various other speculations have already been revealed. The only thing left to be announced is its pricing which will be announced on the 15th of February and from the news surfing around the Renault Kiger will be priced very aggressively even below its toughest competitor Nissan Magnite.
Before Renault Kiger price revelation let us see what all is known about the car till now.
A few days back Kiger was sported at the warehouse of some dealerships where it was brought for training purposes. These cars were sported in 3 different colours – Blue, Silver and Brown, however officially the car will be sold in 6 different colours and with addition to these 3, the car will also come in Red, White and Grey. Moreover, all these colours will also be available with a dual-tone back roof which will provide the car with a floating roof effect.
As for the exterior of the car, it looks quite similar to the affordable hatchback Kwid or can also be called as the SUV version of the Kwid. However, the Kiger also gets many new front features like a tri-beam headlamp setup, sleek LED DRLs, sporty front bumper, fibre roof rails, and C-shaped rear taillight. As for the interior of the car it too much resembles its cousin Nissan Magnite with almost the same features with a slightly different design.
For the powertrain options, the Renault Kiger comes with 2 engine options first being a 1.0-litre naturally-aspirated 3-pot petrol engine which produces optimum power and torque of 72hp and 96Nm, coupled with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT gearbox. And second being the 1.0-litre 3-pot turbocharged engine producing upto 100hp power and 160Nm of torque, coupled with a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed CVT gearbox.
