Renault India Private Limited is a Subsidiary of French Automaker Renault S.A. In 2008, Renault made a n alliance with Nissan to open a vehicle design studio in Tamil Nadu, India. And after that in 2010, Renault-Nissan alliance established a production plant in Chennai with annual capacity of 400,000 vehicles. To compete in the market Renault kept on bringing many new vehicles in the India market. The very next year after the inauguration of plant Renault launched Fluence its first car in India. It was a subcompact sedan with Automatic transmission. Company also debuted the global launch of new-Koleas in the same year.

 In 2012, Renault debuted its most popular SUV Duster at 2012 Auto Expo and launched it very next year. This SUV helped Renault make its name in Indian Market as Duster alone got 29 awards out of the total 43 awards the company has till date. This car has loads of best in class features and kept its position in top 10 sold SUVs till 2019. With its success, the French automaker expanded in India and reached with over 200 dealerships in 2015.
