Maruti Suzuki has announced the price hike on their line-up. Up to Rs 34,000 on its vehicles. Top vehicles like Swift, Alto gets the highest price Hike.

Maruti Suzuki India Limited has announced the Price Hike on their line-Up. Maruti Suzuki products get more expensive up to Rs 34,000, deepening on the car. The Hiked price was getting into effective from 18th January 2021. It is solely the biggest price hiked by the brand Yet. Maruti Suzuki India joins brands like Hyundai, Kia, Mahindra, and Mahindra, etc, with price hikes. Increasing the price of their model is a common practice done by the brands at the starting of the year, and this year is yet the same as any other. Although the Indian automobile market has recovered excitingly post-lockdown.

In 2020 Maruti Suzuki sales record at  12,13,660 units overall, against 14,85,943 units in 2019, with 18 percent sales decline. Although, Maruti records 20.2 percent positive sales growth in December 2020 against December 2019, so brands need to be more careful about their price ranges. The most affected car in this Price hike is Maruti Suzuki Ertiga with an increase in price by Rs 34,000 and Maruti Suzuki Swift with Rs 30,000. On the other hand, compact SV Vitara Brezza which already costs more compared with other compact SUVs in the market, the price hiked by Rs 10,000.

The brand’s entry-level model Alto and S-presso, have become more expensive by Rs 14,000 and Rs 7,000 respectively. Although Maruti Suzuki commercial models, Super carry and Tour S, price hiked by Rs 10,000 and Rs 5,061.
