As all the car manufacturers in the domestic market revealed their sales for April 2022, we have here taken a look at overall car manufacturer sales in April 2022.
Starting off with one of the largest car manufacturers in India Maruti Suzuki India limited posted a domestic tally of 1,10,841 units last month as against 1,24,410 unit during the same period last year with year-on-year negative sales growth by 11%. The South Korean manufacturer Hyundai finished at the second position with 44,001 units as against 49,002 units in April 2021 with year-on-year sales De-growth by 10%. Tata Motors finished at 3rd position with overall 41,590 units sold as against 25,096 units sold during the same corresponding month last year in 2021 with year-on-year sales positive growth by 66%.
Another South Korean manufacturer Kia India finished at 4th position with 19,019 units against 16,111 units in April 2021 with the year-on-year sales volume surge by 18%. Mahindra and Mahindra Home Grown manufacturer SUV specialist finished at 5th position with 19,018 units as against 14,780 units during the same period last year with year-on-year growth by 29%. Toyota Kirloskar motor was slotted at 6 positions with 15,085 units registered against 9621 units with year-on-year growth by 57%.
The Japanese car manufacturer Honda motors India finished at 7th position with 7874 units registered last month as against 9072 units registered during the same month last year with year-on-year negative sales growth by 13%. Renault India finished at 8th position with 7594 units with year-on-year sales declined by 12% as it registered 8642 units in April 2021.
The massive positive sales growth was seen by Czech Republic manufacturer Skoda India with 436% positive sales growth as it registered 5152 units against 961 units back in last year April 2021. The German manufacturer Volkswagen India registered 3547 units with year-on-year positive sales growth by 131%. Nissan India finished at 11th position with 2110 units along with Chinese manufacturer Morris garages finished at 12th position with 2008 units. FCA force and Citroen at 13th 14th at 15th position.
