Ola electric entered the electric scooter segment in the Indian market back on 15th august 2021. It is offered in two variants S1 and S1 Pro. The manufacturer scheduled to start the purchasing before on 8th September but due to some technical issues. Now as the purchase for the first batch have been closed, we have put together the subsidy offered in different states. The figures for the first batch are extremely good as reported by the end of day one it gets Rs 600 crore bookings, while on the day 2 end it goes up to Rs 1100 crore. After the state’s subsidies, the prices in some states becoming more attractive and budget friendly. The government of Gujarat offers the highest subsidy of up to Rs 20,000 for e-scooters. While in Delhi it offered between Rs 14,940 to Rs 19,850. The Rajasthan government provides a subsidy of Rs 10,000. The Maharashtra government offered a subsidy of Rs 5,000, but if the buyers purchase the EV before 31st December 2021 he/they will get an extra benefit worth Rs 15,000. If that happens then Maharashtra and Gujarat will be the highest subsidies among all states in India.

Thanks to the attractive price band and beautiful design, Ola electric outsold its current rivals like Ather 450X, Bajaj Chetak, Simple one, and TVS iQube. The figures are sky high and the manufacturer also states that at the peak they have sold one scooter every four seconds. The Purchase for the ola scooter is temporarily on halt for some time. While the second batch purchase will start from 2nd November 2021 and deliveries will commence from next month. The Ola electric comes offered in two battery pack options – 2.98 KWh for S1 and 3.97 KWh for the S1 pro variant. While, both the battery pack comes coupled with same 8.5 KW electric motor. The former has a claimed range of 121 Km and the latter has claimed range of 181 Km. Both scooters have a standard reverse mode with them and different driving modes as well.
