Ola Electric Scooter has official images been disclosed and, the expected launch could be anytime in the second quarter of 2021.

Ola Electric has officially revealed the production-ready version of their first electric Scooter for the domestic market. The production-ready version is based on Etergo AppScooter, and the production will commence at the 500-acre production facility in Tamil Nadu. The company plans on building the world’s largest production facility at the Krishnagiri district and produce more than 2 million units of electric Scooter every year to full fill the demands in Asian countries as well as for European and South American regions. For the coming future company is planning to increase production up to 10 million units per year by 2022, with the first phase of production limited to 2 million capacity by June this year.
At full capacity, Ola will be rolling out one scooter every second. Ola accelerated their efforts towards the zero-emission vehicle when they buy Dutch-based company Etergo EV by mid-last year. And their first Scooter will be based on Etergo AppScooter. The Company has already been spotted testing their first product, and now the official images have been revealed, which shows similarities with Etergo AppScooter. Ola electric Scooter has a clean futuristic profile to body panels, front Twin headlamps, low positioned turn indicators, blacked alloy wheels, eccentric curved front loading space, Wrapped LED taillights, and black grab rails, and so on. As for suspension, the scooter rides on telescopic single shock headstock and a horizontally mounted shock absorber. The brake handling is done by a 200 mm disc brake at the front wheel and a 180 mm disc at the rear.
Although the underpinnings are similar to the Etergo AppScooter and contain the same high-density battery having around the maximum driving range of 240 Km. It can sprint from 0 to 45 kmph in just 3.9 seconds. Ola Electric Scooter could feature, Bluetooth, 4G connectivity, Wifi, Navigation, OTR updates, find my scooter, and so on, all these will display on the TFT instrument cluster. The Expected launch of the Scooter could be in the second quarter of 2021, although accurate dates not been announced officially. It is expected to price very aggressively to attract more buyers, as the fuel prices are sky high at the moment, it could be get priced around Rs 1 Lakh ex-showroom, pan India.
