Ola electric scooter has finally been launched in the Indian market, with a base price of Rs 79,999 ex-showroom. Although, the pre-bookings for the scooter have already commenced a few days ago and in the span of just 24 hours company claims to received 1 lakh pre-bookings. While it should be noted that these bookings can be made with a minimum amount of just Rs 499. The documentation for the scooter will begin from 8 September with the final delivery taking place from October onwards. Apart from that company is also doing a bigger endorsement for their first scooters like doorstep delivery and the world’s largest electric vehicle manufacturing plant.

Ola electric goes up against EVs like Ather 450X, Baja Chetak EV, TVS iQube, and upcoming Hero electric scooter. Ola offers its first scooter in two variants – S1 and S1 pro. While former gets a low-density battery pack with a claimed range of 121 Km and the latter is powered with a high-density battery pack enough to generate a claimed riding range of 181 km in a single charge. Also, Scooter is available in app-based functions and a Hypercharger that can charge up the S1 variant from 0 to 50 percent in just 18 minutes while the regular charge is a 750W brick.

While talking about the design and color options. The company offered ola scooter in a total of 10 colors. The eco-friendly scooter design consists of LED headlamps with integrated LED DRL clusters, Sharp LED turn indicators mounted at the front apron. It also boasts its design with Sleek LED taillights, external charging port option, body-color fender, blacked-out alloy wheels, curved body panels, round-shaped headlamp unit, split tire grab rail, and so on.
