Nissan gets there best ever sales numbers for the month Feb 2021, all thanks to the Sub-4m SUV Magnite, launched on Dec 2020.

  • Nissan manages to sold 4,244 units last month
  • Biggest portion of the sales comes from Magnite
  • More than 40,000 bookings have been made across India since the launch last Dec

Nissan Motors India has unveiled their sales figures for last month Feb 2021. As it manages to sell 4,244 units highest monthly sales ever achieved by Nissan since their Debut in the Indian market. The manufacturer also revealed that a big portion of the sales came from the recently launched Sub-4m compact SUV Magnite. Presently, Magnite so popular in the market that it receives more than 40,000 bookings since its launch, and due to which the waiting period increased by 6 months for some variants mainly for XE. To cope with the rising demand, the company has started working for a third shift as well in their Tamil Nadu plant.

 As the plant operating in full cycle and capacity, and with supply chain partners supporting in production brand aims to shortens the delivery period frequently. Nissan Magnite currently priced between Rs 5.49 lakhs for XE manual base trim and Rs 9.59 lakhs for the Top-end turbo petrol CVT trim. It is powered with a 2 engine options 1.0 Litre in-line 3-cylinder naturally aspirated engine, which generates 72 PS of maximum power and 96 Nm of peak torque. The second option is a 1.0 Litre inline 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol unit, which belts out a maximum power of 100 PS and 160 Nm of peak torque, when mated with 5-speed maul transmission and develops 152 Nm of torque when paired with a CVT gearbox system.

The compact SUV offers 5 trims, XE, XL, XV, XV (premium). The SUV offers a lot of advanced features like, 8.0 touchscreen infotainment that supports android auto, apple car play, 360-Degree camera, 7.0 Inch TFT instrument cluster and Nissan connect. Most-recently Renault also enters in Compact SUV segment with their Kiger, which is also based on Magnite underpinnings, offers the same engine, and is manufactured in the same plant as well.
