The Chinese automaker Nio recently has unveiled its newest EV the ET5 that claims to attain a range of whopping 1000 km on a single charge leaving its competitors like Tesla far behind in the race. The EV maker also has a handful of cars in its portfolio which includes the EC6 crossover coupe, ES6 mid-size crossover, ES8 full-size crossover, ET7 flagship sedan and the EP9 hypercar which makes the new upcoming ET5 the 6th entry of the company into its domestic market.

Talking about the styling of the car, the ET5 gets heavily inspired by the flagship model ET7 however you can notice various subtle changes like the slightly tweaked headlamps, fog lamps and the front bumper. While as for the rear the ET5 gets a more rounded type of design. One unique thing about the design is the two horn-like structures that are used for some safety purposes.

Now coming to its interior, the Nio ET5 has the typical EV design which includes a more spacious approach with fewer buttons and more screens, while here you can see a large central square console along and a large 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. The ambient light on this car can be tweaked in 256 different colours and as for the audio system the car rocks a Dolby Atmos 7.1.4 surround sound system

One more interesting thing about the car’s cockpit is the PanoCinema as what the company calls it. This technology is an AR VR tech that is designed by NREAL. The company has designed AR glasses for the car which is yet to be seen in action.

Now coming to the mechanics of the car, the new Nio ET5 will come with 3 different battery options 75kWh, 100kWh and 150kWh and will be powered via 2 motors which will be generating the max power output of 483 hp and a peak torque of 700 Nm. However, the highlight of the car is its claimed mileage which as for the 75kWh battery is 550 km, for the 100kWh battery it is 700 km and the 150kWh battery claims to have a range of 1000 km, which is the highest range ever claimed by any car.
