Kia has officially announced its upcoming variant Kia Seltos Nightfall which will be entering the USA markets really soon. The Seltos Nightfall will be available as a replacement to the current S AWD trim which sits just below the top end feature rich SX AWD trim. As for the price the Nightfall is tagged at $27,865 (Rs. 20.3 lakh) which is $900 above the EX trim. The changes are kept minimal with some tweaks to the exterior and some in the feature department.
Let’s first look at what is new in the new Kia Seltos Nightfall edition, the car gets a dual tone and a rather darkish treatment with the radiator grille, side sills and roof rails all turned black to give a premium and a contrasting look. The 18-inch alloy wheels also get a matte black treatment.
Talking about the feature changes, the car gets some features that were earlier missing from the Seltos like forward collision avoidance system, lane-keep assist, automatic emergency braking, collision avoidance system for the rear to keep your blind spots in check and various other minor features.
For the standard features, the car gets things like power windows, adjustable steering wheel, ventilated leather seats, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with UVO connectivity, fully digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, 4-way adjustable front seats are some of the basic listed things. The Nightfall edition also gets a completely black interior option which suits well with its exterior treatment and the new Kia logo.
Unlike the Indian Seltos, the US seltos gets much more powerful engine variations like the 2.0-litre naturally aspirated 4-cylinder petrol engine, which can produce a maximum power up to 146 bhp and 179 Nm of maximum torque, the other option the car gets is a 1.6-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder petrol engine, which can generate a maximum power of 175 bhp and 264 Nm of peak torque. The former comes with a CVT gearbox while the latter gets a 7-speed DCT gearbox.
