Hyundai India is all set to launch the new generation Tucson in the Indian market as it finally arrives on its official website ahead of launch next month. The manufacturer has listed the new SUV on their Indian website and the website says arriving soon.
The new generation Tucson design is a big departure when compared to the current song that sells in our country. It now gets the Hyundai’s new design philosophy new grille that Hyundai calls a parametric grille. The daytime running lights are integrated into the grille itself and the headlamps are now vertically loaded in the place of fog lamps. On the sides, it gives an aggressive body line and the doors have a lot of cuts that pop out in the current sunlight giving a unique look to the SUV. The rare also has a very sharp design with a light bar joining both the ends of the led tail lamps
It is expected that the new generation Tucson will offer the same 2-liter petrol and diesel engine which is available in the current version as well. The naturally aspirated petrol engine produces 159 PS of maximum power and 192 Nm of peak torque whereas the diesel engine produces 185 PS of maximum power and 400 Nm peak torque. The petrol engine comes coupled with a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox whereas the diesel comes made with an 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
As seen in the current generation Tucson, the new generation Tucson will also have an all-wheel-drive configuration for the top-end variant. The current price of Hyundai Tucson starts from 22,69,000 and goes all the way up to 27,47,000 ex-showrooms. A new generation or you can call facelift launches will make prices likely to increase. Currently, Hyundai Tucson will compete against Jeep Compass Citroen C5 Aircross and Volkswagen taigun.
