SUVs are in the trend now with the compact and mid-size SUVs sowing impressive sales some of them even gaining a Year-on-Year sales growth of more than 100%. Amongst them, the new 2020 Hyundai Creta stands on top with a massive YoY growth of 1675% selling a total of 12,428 units last month whereas the car was only able to sell about 700 units last year in Feb 2020, not only that Creta even stands at the number 5 place of the most sold cars in the month of Feb 2021.

At the number 2 place, we have Kia Seltos selling a total of 8,305 units to the sale number of 14,024 units in Feb 2020, recording a decline of 40.7%. however, even after such a decline the car still stands tall below its Korean cousin Hyundai Creta. At number 3 we have the British/Chinese SUV, MG Hector, with a YoY growth of 200% and selling a total of 3,662 units to 1,218 units sold last year in Feb 2020. Next in line at 4th position, we have the Mahindra Scorpio gaining 134.6% on a YoY basis and selling 3,532 units this Feb.

At the 5th position, we have the Maruti S-Cross selling a total of 2,505 units standing just above Tata Harrier which sold 2,030 units in Feb 2021 with a YoY growth of 216.6%. below it, we have yet another Tata entry the newly added Tata Safari with a sales number of 1,707. At the 8th, 9th and 10th number we have the Jeep compass selling 1,103 units, Mahindra XUV 500 selling 829 units and lastly the Old Renault Duster selling a total of 337 units with a YoY decline of 47.5%.
