A few weeks earlier the British supercar manufacturer labelled India as a Configurator on its official website, however recently the carmaker announced the Debut with prices of its supercars which will be brought to the Indian market, that will be the McLaren GT which will be priced at Rs. 3.72 Cr, McLaren 720S coupe which will be priced at Rs. 4.65 Cr and the McLaren 720S Spider which will the most expensive car in the Indian line-up with a price tag of Rs. 5.04 Cr.
McLaren was planning to enter the Indian markets back in 2019, however, due to the covid 19 pandemic this entry was delayed till now, although the company is entering the Indian markets the car will be imported as CBU so will be priced significantly higher as compared to some global markets. Talking about the dealership, McLaren will be opening a single dealership which will be located in Mumbai, Maharashtra by the distributing firm Infinity cars that also holds the distributions of many other luxury and supercar manufacturing companies in India like Aston Martin, Rolls Royce, BMW and many more.
Talking about the three cars that will be entering the Indian markets, the McLaren GT which is powered by a twin-turbo V8 engine that can generate up to a maximum power of 612 bhp and an equivalently powerful torque up to 630 Nm, with a 0 to 100 sprint time of 3.2 seconds and a max speed of 326 km/h. The 720S Coupe and 720S Spider comes with the same engine, which is a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine which can generate up to maximum power of 710 bhp and a max torque of 770 Nm, with a 0-100 sprint time of 2.9 second and a maximum speed of 341 km/h. the only difference between these 2 cars is that the 720S coupe comes with a hardtop, while the 720S Spider comes with a convertible roof.
