The world-renowned super and hypercar making company recently has broken all records and produced the brand’s most powerful convertible car in history, which is the McLaren 765LT Spider. The car is also a limited-edition model that will only be produced in a single batch of 765 units.

The McLaren 765LT Spider is a perfect combination of a lightweight body along with a high-performance engine and a premium cabin. The company also claims that the structure of the McLaren 765LT Spider is as strong and rigid as that of the McLaren 765LT coupe although the car Spider weighs 49 kg more than that of the coupe owing to the additional parts required to convert the hard-top. The hard-top is made of carbon fibre parts which can retract itself in just 11 seconds within a speed of 50 km/h.

Talking about the powertrain, the 765LT Spider is powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine that can generate a maximum power output of up to 765 hp and a maximum torque of 800 Nm, the engine comes mated with a tuned automatic gearbox which can now provide a better gear ration that has a 10 times better gear changing speed than that of 720S Spider. This much power makes the car sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds with a top speed of 330 km/h which makes the car the fastest convertible car the company has ever made in history.

As mentioned above, like its coupe counterpart, the McLaren 765LT Spider will only be available in a total of 765 units around the world, however, the car is only available in the UK as of now and will soon be making its way into the US market and is priced £310,500 (INR 3.3 crore).
