Maruti Suzuki has been on top of almost every list in terms of sales from the past decade with no other rival even coming close to it. Not only in petrol but the Indo-Japanese company also enjoys its wide line-up of CNG cars which makes it the largest CNG automobile producer in India which includes cars like Wagon-R, Alto, Celerio, S-Presso, Ertiga, and Eeco. However, the company will be expanding this line-up by including CNG variants of cars like Swift, Dzire S and Brezza. Although not much has been leaked about them until a few days back except the leaked images of the emission testing equipment fitted Dzire and now it seems that the engine specifications of the Maruti Suzuki Swift CNG have been leaked online about their lesser power.

Going by the leaks, both the Swift and Dzire will be powered by the same 1.2-litre, inline-4 naturally aspirated engine which on petrol, produced a maximum power output of 83 PS and a maximum torque output of 113 Nm, however, when this engine will be operated on Natural gas its power will be going down to 72 PS and 95 Nm which is significantly less in comparison, but sacrifices will not only benefit your pocket but also the engine life and environment.

The interior and exterior of the car will most probably remain the same however there will be some countermeasures taken by the company to adjust the addition of the weight of the CNG tank. Talking about the price, the Maruti Suzuki Swift is currently priced starting from Rs. 5.81 lakh till Rs. 8.56 lakh, while the Dzire price ranges from Rs. 5.98 to Rs.9.02 lakh (ex-showroom). As for the CNG variants, no information is yet revealed about them, however, their prices will most likely be about 60-70k more than that of their current petrol variants.
