Maruti Suzuki has revealed their sales number for September 2021 in which the brand dispatched 86,380 units.

Maruti Suzuki India one of the largest car manufacturers in the Indian market reveals their September 2021 sales figure. The manufacturer registered 86,380 units last month as against 1,60,442 units during the same month last year on September 2021 resulting in a year-on-year sales decline by a massive 43 percent. The biggest decline was seen in the sale of hatchbacks and MPVs. While Maruti’s total cumulative domestic sales for last month stood at 68,815 units as against 1,52,608 units during the same corresponding month last year getting a huge sales negative growth by 55 percent on a YoY basis.

Overall the indo-Japanese manufacturer doesn’t register a good sales number for the domestic market but they garnered a good figure in OEM units which they’re transferred to Toyota Motors India like Urban Cruiser and Glanza. Although, Toyota is also planning to take more other products from Suzuki India, which could be Suzuki Ciaz, Ertiga, and WagonR. Currently, the test mules have been spotted of the upcoming Toyota Belta rebadged version of Suzuki Ciaz with a brand corporate logo on the front grille and no changes have been seen. However, the manufacturer exports increase from 7,834 units in September 2020 to 17,565 units in September 2021 which resulting in 124% positive sales growth compared on a year-on-year basis.

Yet another manufacturer was affected by a shortage of chip semiconductors at a global level which resulted in fewer deliveries of vehicles. Due to this many brands have been shuttled down their manufacturing plant in some regions. The problem is only going to rise as the festive season is coming in India and many customers looking to buy their dream passenger vehicles. As for the brand’s upcoming pipeline products concern, they are planning to introduce the new generation Celerio with exterior and interior changes and expected to feature with new updated features. While the engine is likely to offer 1.0 Litre petrol and 1.2 Litre petrol engines. Apart from that manufacturer could also be available with the CNG powertrain of Swift and Dzire soon.
