Maruti Suzuki as off now retailed Ignis with a starting price of Rs 4.89 lakh, and it goes way up to Rs 7.19 lakh (ex-showroom)

Maruti Suzuki India motors limited launched the Ignis facelift at the starting of this year. Which helped the car to gain more popularity as compared with the pre-facelift version. Maruti Suzuki sold 3,935 units of ignis last month as against 1,692 units were sold in the same period last year, with 133 percent positive sales growth. This is the highest positive sales growth that has been seen by Maruti last month compared with their other products in the Indian market. It is believed that the facelift version of Ignis does the trick for Maruti in the Micro-SUV segment.

Compared with the pre-facelift version, the facelift version of Ignis gets a faux skid plate at the back, updated fog house lining, updated front grille, functional roof rails, LED DRLs, alloy wheels, projector headlamps, etc. On the interior facelifted ignis comes quipped with, 7-inch smart play studio infotainment system with android auto, apple car play, rear parking camera, and automatic climate control. Ignis is powered by a  1.2 liter naturally aspirated petrol engine, that produces 83 PS of maximum power and 113 Nm of peak torque. The transmission is taken care of by 5-speed manual gearbox, alongside an optional 5-speed automatic transmission.

Maruti Suzuki retails Ignis at Nexa premium dealership with a starting price of Rs 4.89 lakh and goes way up to Rs 7.19 lakhs (ex-showroom New Delhi). As for now there isn’t much competition in cross-over hatchback or Maruti says Micro-SUV segment. Facelifted Ignis rivals with the likes of tata tiago, Ford freestyle, and Mahindra KUV100. As per reports new rival is in production and will be launching on April 2021, with the badging of Tata, with concept named as tata HBX and a recently leaked production name of Tata Hornbill.
