Upcoming SUV expect offered with a petrol engine. Both will be the hybrid but the output one will be a mild hybrid whereas the more powerful strong hybrid version. The more powerful hybrid version was developed with Toyota and will produce more power and better fuel economy compared to the mild-hybrid unit. Earlier reports Suggested Toyota has started building strong hybrid engines that have a capacity of 1.5 liters and 2.0-liter engines. As of now, it is not confirmed whether the same will be used for the new SUV not.

Speaking of the hybrid engine it could be the existing 1.5-liter K12C dual jet unit that is now doing duty in Ertiga and XL6 facelift which was recently launched. The engine is a 4 cylinder naturally aspirated which produces 101 HP of maximum power and 136 Nm of peak torque and a 5-speed manual gearbox or optional 6-Speed torque converter automatic transmission.

The Mild hybrid technology provides torque assist function during slow speeds when the engine is not at its most efficient. This else is taking of load from the engine and get brake regeneration technology as well. There is also an idle start/Stop function that helps in increasing fuel economy by shutting down the engine when the car is at the traffic light. Moreover, all of this helps reduce emissions.

Both will look different from the test mule that was spotted earlier we can know that both SUVs will look different both will have split headlamp clusters which is quite common nowadays in led daytime running lights and the Toyota D22 will move upswept and expected to have a Chrome grille just have we have seen on the Glanza facelift. The Wheel arches will be squared off design while the Maruti YFG is not quite clear yet. Although one thing is to be sure that he will come with loaded features and new technology which have been seen in recently launched facelift Baleno and glanza which consists of 360-degree camera paddle shifters head-up display and lots more.
