Mahindra Motors India homegrown brand working on introducing the electric version of their most sold SUVs.

Mahindra and Mahindra expected to launch the new generation of XUV500 and Scorpio really time soon later this year. Although, due to the shortage of Semiconductor at the global level the production rate of the automobile slowed down, due to which many new products launching dates has been forwarded and the timeline has been changed. In the Indian market the homegrown car makers like tata and Mahindra looking to grab the spotlight of the electric vehicle, as they both are expected to be the center of the action. Although, Tata has already launched their first fully electric version of the most sold SUV from the brand Nexon EV.

Mahindra and Mahindra likely to launch the production version of their Showcased eXUV300 and eKUV100 in the last year 2020 Auto Expo. The SUV specialist also working to launch electrified versions of their New generation Scorpio and XUV500 in the next few years as well. As per reports, Mahindra going to invest Rs 3,000 crore in their electric vehicle business over the course of the next three years, to accelerating their pace towards the electric SUV, and it aims to have 30 percent of total sales come from the electric vehicle by 2027-2030. Mahindra Could also come with an electric MPV based on the Marazzo as per reports, no official statement has been made from the company officials.

Mahindra and Mahindra looking to grab the opportunity and focus on becoming the electric SUV Space leader in the Indian market, which could have models like, Tata Nexon EV, MG ZS EV, and Hyundai Kona. Last year, Nexon EV was the most sold EV in the domestic market and the momentum for the EV is still going on in 2021 as well.  Rajesh jejurikar, additional Director and executive director at Mahindra,” confirmed that besides eXUV300,” a couple of more other projects” will kick-off to take advantage. It is expected to see a more conceptual version of the Electric SUV from the brand before its production version in the near coming future.
