Recently, Mahindra has launched a new model of its best-selling car, the Mahindra Bolero Neo. Rather than being a variant of the car, it is a standalone model with a similar nametag that gives the car a better feature list along with an updated look. As the car has been the same for the longest of time however has still managed to be the top seller for the brand. Here is the basic comparison of the Mahindra Bolero Neo and the regular Mahindra Bolero.

Price comparison

Starting with the most basic thing that one keeps in mind before buying the car is his budget, which is very similar in this case as the new Mahindra Bolero Neo comes in three trims – the N4 which is priced at Rs 8.48 lakhs, the N8 which is priced at Rs 9.48 lakhs and the N10 which is priced at Rs 9.99 lakhs, while the Mahindra Bolero after the price hike ranges between Rs. 8.62 to Rs. 9.61 lakhs (ex-showroom New Delhi).

 Here, we can see both the cars have the same length and wheelbase; however, the Bolero Neo has an upper hand in terms of width but is lower in height.

Powertrain comparison

Both the cars come equipped with the same 1.5-litre mHawk75 diesel engine which in neo’s case can generate power up to 100 hp and torque up to 260 Nm while the regular Bolero’s engine is a bit under tuned and can only generate up to 75 hp of max power and 210 Nm of max torque. Both the engines also get the same 5-speed manual transmission gearbox.
