Lml last year revealed its plan to make a comeback in India with a new electric vehicle. Now as per the report lml electric has plans to unveil 3 electric vehicles in India in September this year and one could be a hyper bike.
Lohia machinery limited is planning to make a comeback in India in its electric form. The brand will operate under the name LML electric in partnership with another EV manufacturer detail. Both companies will operate under the same parent company SG corporate mobility. Recently some interesting report suggests that an element electric plan for the Indian market have been surfaced online. The manufacturing is currently in talks with different state governments looking to set up a new manufacturing facility. An announcement regarding the same will meet later this year the new plant will become fully operational by 2024.
Interestingly SG corporate will be utilizing the former Harley Davidson plant in bawal Haryana. Said plant has a production capacity of 20,000 units annually. While detail will focus mainly on low-speed electric vehicles for tier 3 and tier 2 cities LML electric will focus on urban mobility and premium models. LML electric partners with Rockit an electric 2-Wheeler manufacturer based in Germany. Later we provide the platform and technology for the lml electric to produce EVs in India. As per lml electric, they won’t already launch vehicles rather than they will customize existing products to be suitable for the Indian market or develop Indian specific products.
On September 29 2022 which is the 50th anniversary of LML brand manufacturing unveiled 3 products for the Indian market. These will consist of electric scooters electric motorcycles and electric hyperbikes. LML electric hyper bike is expected to be based on Rockit EV but it will have different technical specifications compared to the model which is on sale now. Motorcycle in electric hyper biker expected to go on sale by January 2022 while scooter will later launch in August 2022.
In 2024 the manufacturer plans to introduce a performance-oriented electric motorcycle which is existing. The recipe we plan for India at it is eager to take a spot among the top 3 electric 2-Wheeler brands in the market by 2025, and also the manufacturer adapts battery swapping technology for electric vehicles which should keep these vehicles more practical for the Indian market.
