Kia India registered 15,015 units in June 2021, as against 7,275 units during the same month last year in June 2020, getting a three-figure sales growth.

Kia India recently launched the Fy2021 facelift edition of Seltos and Sonet with subtle added features like paddle shifters, manual sunblind, and new transmission. The new updates really give a decent growth last month as the brand registered 15,015 units against 7,275 units, resulting in YoY growth of 106 percent. While as we compared on an MoM basis the manufacturer garnered 11,050 units in May 2021, getting 36 percent positive sales growth. Although, the Kia Seltos once again turns out to be the best seller for the brand again.

Kia dispatched 8,549 units of Mid-Size SUV Seltos last month as against 7,114 units in the same corresponding month last year, getting a sales growth of 20 percent on a YoY basis. The Seltos has been gaining a lot of popularity since its debut back in 2019, and since then it’s been exponentially giving a tremendous number to the brand. Even back in few months, the SUV takes the position of Segment King Hyundai Creta before the launch of the new generation last year. the Kia last year’s launch Compact SUV Sonet finished at second position with 5,963 units sold in June 2021.

The SUV has been introduced in the highly competitive segment space in the Indian market right now. The Sub-4m SUV space consists of more than 10 vehicles which includes segment bigger leaders like Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Hyundai venue, Tata Nexon, and much more. The premium SUV carnival finished at third position with 503 units sold in June 2021, as against 161 units in the same month last year, getting 212 percent sales growth on a YoY basis. As for the future of Kia India, the manufacturer is stated to launch a C-Segment MPV in the Indian market, which goes up against Toyota Innova Crysta, Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, and many more.
