Jeep 3-row compass, which was spotted few times in foreign markets with heavy camouflage could be named as ‘Commander’.

As per many reports suffering on the internet that Jeep is working on developing the three-row version of the Jeep Compass, especially for the Indian market. The camouflaged prototype of the SUV has been spied many times on the roads. Although, the codenamed for the SUV rumored to be H6, and previously it was likely to name as ‘Patriot’. The 3-row Jeep compass named hasn’t been revealed officially but a teaser video has been uploaded to the brand’s page, a few days back with last letters as ‘ER’ and taking a very closer look into the teaser, which was almost certainly a letter ‘D’, which actually translated as Commander, also in the teaser video some of the details of 3-row Compass has revealed includes exterior details.

As for the exterior design in the teaser, the 3-row Compass front end looks slightly curved compared with regular compass, straighter grille, and other details look sharp and newly designed. It ought to be noted that the Commander named was previously used for Jeep Gran-Cherokee-based 3-row SUV in the late 2000s. the 3-row compass will firstly be launched in the Brazil market and then launched to other foreign markets. The officials claimed that these will be the most modern cars ever produced in Brazil. That being said, the vehicle is expected to feature new advanced technology and could be equipped with Adaptive cruise control, 4G connectivity infotainment system, Wireless Android auto and apple car play, auto emergency braking, lane departure alert, blind-spot alert, and so on.

As for the debut and launch timeline, the 3-row compass likely to debut first in the brazil market around Q2 of 2021, and then later on in foreign markets. It is expected that Commander for the Indian market offered with the same powertrain as its younger sibling 2-row compass. Currently, the 2021 Jeep compass comes powered with a 2.0 Litre turbo diesel engine and a 1.4-liter turbo petrol engine option. The former develops 173PS/350Nm and the latter generates 163PS/250Nm. The engine comes paired with a standard 6-speed MT and an optional 9-speed AT for the Petrol mill and a 7-speed DCT for the oil burner.
