India's first Kushaq CNG Kit

That is quite obvious as with CNG kit fuel is directly injected, so that engine requires fine-tuning to run on CNG. The CNG kit has been installed by MLN technologies based in Gujarat. A 12 kg cylinder has been fitted at the boot space and it can take up to 11.5 kg of gas if the pressure is strong enough. The Skoda Kushaq is deliveries around 22 km to 25km per kg, which resulted in a per km cost of CNG around Rs 3.5 per Kilometre. The installed kit has a sequential direct injection method. The electronics unit that has been used in this is taken from KME Autogas, from Poland. There is also a pressure regulator installed with the kit.

The pressure regulator comes from TA gas technology. The injectors are installed in Kit taken from KE Japan. They have already taken a trial run of 400 km in Kushaq. Because it uses direct injection technology it only needs a small amount of petrol in it for ignition. Otherwise, the injectors could be choked. The Skoda Kushaq consumes around 1 to 2 liters of petrol for every 100 km of run. The Workshop provides around 2 years of warranty with an installed CG kit. Although, no clarification has been made about the RC registration with CNG-equipped vehicles with BS6 compliant engines. The manufacturer warranty for the SUV is torn out after the installation of the kit. The Aftermarket CNG kit cost around Rs 1.25 lakh including labor cost and GST.
